Does anyone else realize we live our entire lives in a specific way just because that’s the way it is. Because society teaches us that we must follow a specific path in order to be happy and successful. Of course we can all make our own choices but the basic layout is the same. Things such as, going to school (in the same format we always have), getting married, having kids, going to college, voting either republican or democrat, not doing drugs, believing the mainstream media, keeping the religion we grow up with, wearing clothes that are determined to be cool or popular, trusting that our government is always right, etc. Our entire lives have been planned out for us before we even get a chance to understand what life truly is. Society is a necessary part of our lives and I can’t imagine what life would be like without it… but I think everyone should realize that we don’t have to live our lives according to the expectations of society. We have an entire world of options and possibilities and in the end we should all do whatever makes us happy while simultaneously trying to preserve the world and make it a better place for future generations.
