It’s funny, your brain has THC receptors in it which absorbs weeds effects. With alcohol and tobacco, all of your body tries to get it out any way it can.
Thumbs up if you think weed is better than tobacco and alcohol!!!

weed and humans were made for each other...were are the only consumers of weed on earth hah
ive gotten my cat high before, doesnt that count as my cat as a consumer

not to be negative, I'm all for this shit... but humans are the only creature smart enough to grow, harvest, and know the effects of thc, animals can't start fire or bake that shit haha
Exactly why it stays in your system for so long
Are they really lucky? -> http://highdeas.com/philosophy/Lucky-5
yes, but even though we do have THC receptors, their the same receptors for all the other cannabinoids in your system.

You ruined this. For me, anyway.

(Context: Terrence is meatwad's cat. That beeping sound is shake starting the microwave. guess who's inside.
actually the cannaboid receptors looks like they are literal receptors of THC it just meant a type of receptors that happened to have a latin prefix that was also in the scientific name of cannabis.
I am a shaman, magician. And the sun remains purple-- Shpongle, " Star Shpongled Banner"
i would upvote this but its at exactly 420!!! god i fucking hope nobody ruins it
funny how the government legalize two deadly things like alcohol and ciggarettes and illegalize a harmless and peaceful plant.

I upvoted this, but I'm not gonna lie, I love taking a few (or more) shots during my smoke sessions sometimes. Just really like how that combo feels :)

Here's some of the article.
The human body possesses specific binding sites on the surface of many cell types for cannabinoids, and our body produces several endocannabinoids, fatty acid derivatives that bind to these
cannabinoid receptors (CB) and activate them. CB receptors and endocannabinoids together constitute the endocannabinoid system. This system is of great importance for the normal function of the body and is millions of years old. It has been found in mammals, birds, amphibians, fish, sea urchins, molluscs and leeches. Activation of the CB1 receptor produces effects on circulation and psyche common to cannabis ingestion, while activation of the CB2 receptor does not. CB1 receptors are mainly found on nerve cells in the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system, but are also present in certain peripheral organs and tissues, among them endocrine glands, salivary glands, leukocytes, spleen, heart and parts of the reproductive, urinary and gastrointestinal tracts.
In the brain endocannabinoids serve as neuromodulators (alter the way a nerve transmits).
Endocannabinoids occur naturally in the body and cannabinoid receptors can be found all over. I'm pretty sure we're just made for ingesting cannabis. :)
There are receptors for endogenous (naturally occurring) substances in our bodies that can also bind all of those substances (tobacco, alcohol, and any other drug) you listed--not just THC.
Tobacco (nicotine) binds to nicotinic ACh receptors.
Alcohol binds to GABA receptors.
Marijuana (THC) binds to cannabinoid receptors.
Marijuana stays in our bodies so long because it is lipid-soluble AKA hydrophobic AKA non-polar.
But regardless, it is virtually harmless when compared to tobacco and alcohol.
