To hear what everyones different takes are about what being high is like compared to being sober. I know you get hungrier sometimes and all the basic stuff most people who know about "what weed does", but your perceptions legitimately change. For me personally I feel like I'm more in tune with stuff like if my heart beats faster; I guess my emotions and sensations are magnified. I also have a tendency to break things down in my head more than I would normally or I follow trains of thought longer.

What about you?

I feel like a fisherman going out into the great dark ocean of mind looking for new ideas to bring back to shore to have fish dinner.

Wow that's awesome.

Edit: I'm also an idea hunter.

I am quite high at the moment and will try and explain this the best I can:

I am here but at the same time I am lost. Its like situational deja-vu that I have felt before, even typing on the keyboard is refreshingly new. The keyboard is a tool that is used to convert electrical brain signals into electrical data for you to see! Before, when I was sober, the keyboard was just a big piece of plastic that I bash like a monkey trying to jam the square peg through the round hole, but now it takes on a new role....One that only the last couple generations of people and on have had the experience of using. The keyboard is so familiar but strangely new everytime I am high, just like everything else.

Yeah man I always attributed the newness to the reevaluation of the obvious. When high you look at everything in a childlike sense, whereas when you get older you get so used to certain things you see all the time that you stop really seeing them. Marijuana can help to stop that from happening.

Like when people stop smelling something when they get used to a smell that happens to everyone's sense even our sight and hearing and when you get high you get unused to it. So it all feels new

Exactly. And that's why time seems to go by quicker the older you get. There is a sense of more and more familiarity with the place you exist in and less interests you.. If you let that happen anyway.

i become extremely self-aware, and of everyone else around me. also like a lot of you guys already said, i experience things in a new light. all the thoughts i try to repress come flooding out. my thoughts become long tangents, and i pretty much have a conversation with myself in my head. all my senses heighten.

there was a highdea a long while ago that i'll never forget. it said somethin like, being high feels like my eyes take a picture every time my heart beats.

I totally get what you're saying.. I'd almost describe it as something less tangible than a conversation, more like a dance with meaning or something to that effect.
