they should put a lid on bowls so you can't drop your ashes everywhere, like a little lid with a latch and a hinge............you could never drop your weed or ashes on yourself agian

i actually had a pipe that had a lid and it was sick but it broke off :(

and then you can shut the lid if you havnt smoked your whole bowl then put it in your pocket for later and it woulnt spill all over. great idea.
there are metals pipes that you can screw lids onto the bowl, where they have a little hole so you can smoke through it. But it still doesn't spill or let hardly any smoke out..
The pipe I use twists, so the top part turns out and you smoke through it, then you turn it back and it covers the bowl...
So yeah, there are already pipes with lids, im sure there's others that I don't know about yet :P google 'em!
they already have a bowl like that, i had one then the cops took it, there was a lighter built in too it was siccck you had to refill it with butane though and that was a pain in the ass but def mad good for cruises.

my friend used to have a metal pipe with a bowl coverer like youre talking about. it was cone-shaped. it had a small hole at the top of it.
yah dude pack a bowl for later and close lid, that's how I got caught one time! lids would have saved my life :'(
Then when your in a car or outside you can break up the weed on the lid while you're loading the bowl. Then shut it and throw it over to your buddy.
There are different styled bats that have a tiny hole in the end to pull a flame through (no nug falls out) and there is an unscrewable chamber inside to put the nug. Also if your interested check out sneak-a-tokes. Same idea, almost a short chillum. doesnt let out smoke other than into your mouth and is a great way to carry a bowls-worth of weed.
