time is a scary thing

if you think about it... theres no real time. like how do you measure it when you look into the past and it feels like yesterday. or when you remember when you wanted something to come so fast and that was like 4 years ago. before i know it, in a blink of an eye... im gonna be a grandma with grandkids, remembering when i wrote this and think... i was soooo right.

Roll this around for a bit

Imagine having someone from the 1700's in the passenger seat of your car while you drive through a city. He'd be freakin out and amazed by EVERY LITTLE THING we don't even notice because we are so used to it! I'd love it!

my past self is an asshole

sometimes, i like to play jokes on my future self. i'll chew some gum, then stick it in my coat pocket. later, when i'm stoned, i put my hands in my pocket and... "god damn it! my past self is an asshole!"

We Can See the Past

Literally. As humans we have created a device that takes snapshots of frozen moments in time that is no longer with us.
We print the moments on paper and keep them in books, on our walls, in frames so we can literally look back at the past.

If you look at a star that is 50 light years away, you are actually seeing how it looked 50 years ago. The furthest visible 'star' is not a star at all, it is the Andromeda Galaxy. This is 2.2 Million light years away. Looking at that actually takes you 2.2 million years in the past.... read more »

Anybody ever notice?

Has anybody ever noticed than whenever you're with a group of people getting ripped you seem to share past experiences with the same/other people about getting ripped?

Why are many driven to stay indoors?

Think back to a few decades ago. People left their homes and attended social events like concerts, walks in parks, held dances, and just were outgoing and social. Opposed to today, where there appears to be a drive to stay indoors. There is a big focus on new technologies such as bigger, thinner, better looking televisions, and state of the art graphics and capabilities in video-game consoles. Technologies such as these promote unhealthy lifestyles and cheap entertainment to keep our minds distracted...I love Infected Mushroom.
