what the fuck is "game"?
ok so I am in this weight lifting class at school. its for one credit and its an easy A to boost my GPA. anyways... the guys that I work out with in the class are super straight (and super hot I might add). I don't really care if they know I'm gay or not but what I do wonder about (and always have) is what the fuck is "game"? like when one of them says "hey bro did you catch the game last night?" and the other one responds with ease and full knowledge of this so called "game". he can also retrive statistics, coach and player information, past game history and other related facts with absolutly no mention of which "game" it is. now here is what I want to know... how do they know what "game" the other one is talking about? is it a psychic link that straight men have with one another? or are there rules as to what they are supposed to watch on any given night? I have my question broken down below
1. at any certain time of year there is surely more then one sport going on. how does "game" translate into baseball "game" or football "game"? couldn't it mean hockey "game"?
2. lets say that there was only one sport going on for whatever reason. if it were baseball then how do they know what team the other one is talking about? a cubs "game" or a sox "game"? many cities have more than one team or league in it for the same sport.
3. just because both of the guys live in Chicago does not mean that they both automatically root for the Chicago teams. what if one guy was talking about the "game" in Texas to the guy who only watched the "game" in Florida? we do have TV with like 352464 sports channels so it is possible to watch games not in the city you live in.

i will break it down for you
these guys have talked about sports before, so they know what sport the other likes and is not going to talk to a soccer fan about the baseball game that was on last night. because they have talked about this before they also know what teams they like and will most likely be talking about one of these teams. and even if they havent talked before then there might have been a big game that everyone watched and so they are talking about said game.
Exactly, you can also tell who they'll like from where they live or where they'e from? I'm from Alabama, guess which teams I like?

these answers are correct. but im going to break it down and answer question by question exactly what you asked.
i hope this has answered your questions. for more sports knowledge and humor, check out my new weekly highdeas!
i hate sports because its so damn confusing anyways.
lollll i was cracking up reading this dude youre hilarious
why is this post even on here? I might just be high, but I don't think this has ANYTHING to do with highdeas...
Typically, the most important factor in determining knowledge of the "game" is fanhood. if people know they are both fans of the same team then its pretty obvious, also, we straight men know all the big games and when they go down, so that is also a factor, pretty much it all comes down to previous knowledge, at one point or another the straight men have previously discussed a team or sport with which they both identify and enjoy and like to talk about
Dude sorry but this is a site for people to put ideas when their high not about your pro blems
Dude sorry. But there are a bunch of posts on this site that have nothing to do with highdeas, just because this dude is gay doesn't mean he has to b singled out for it. There a bunch of dumb pointless posts that in no way resemble an idea
@intheclouds and hiijustine, quit being douchebags, there are plenty of other "highdeas" that are not exactly ideas. This has been discussed before and there are no rules saying EVERYTHING ON THIS SITE HAS TO BE AN IDEA! So get off your high horse and quit criticising.
im so high right now.. i love all you guys. thats all i gotta say.
i dont care hes gay, i have gay friends, i get stoned with gay friends im just saying that its more of a site to put something down when your high
@dylanto, word :)
Things to consider:
When talking to my friends about the previous nights game it's usually a game with prestige, or an exciting game. One also must consider the season. While all sports overlap each other, if I'm talking about a game in the fall it's most likely football. Unless it's October it could be the World Series. If I say to my friend, Hey did you see that game last night, he most likely knows what game I'm referring to either by status, locale, significance.
I thought I'd be able to explain that better, I guess I was wrong.
