Lasers in Football
Just as they have adopted lasers into professional track and field now to maintain strict timing and determine winners in close races, they should utilize these same devices to more accurately determine first downs and touchdowns in college and Professional Football. They could attach the lasers to the first down markers and pylons; the plane of these lasers would be broken if the ballcarrier touches the region which the laser separates and could more accurately determine whether ballcarriers reach these markings.

this is pretty good but there are alot of people on the field and it would be hard to determine the ballcarriers location with everybody running around. they could put something in the ball that triggers the lasers when it passes though
Lasers would be great for determining if the ball crossed the plane of the endzone, but not so great for determining where the ball should be spotted. In addition to lasers, you could have an array of sensors under the grass or turf that detect the presence of an RFID chip inside the ball or something of that nature. Then the ball could be spotted accurately by determining which sensors were tripped.
It's all about finding a cost effective way to insert a "receiver" in the football. Perhaps very thin metal wires lining the inside of the ball.
a like idea was on the future of the other day, It's a football that is implanted with several gadgets that say were the ball is on the feild at any given time. It also had exeleromiters in it to show how hard the ball was thrown/kicked and how fast it travels. It hould be apart of football in the next 5 years. Prety cool shit.
I am currently watching the kickoff to monday night football (titans vs. texans) and i just realized football and pot give me anxiety. It makes the game that much better
Technology has left little for imagination. Earlier the referee would call the shots on the basis on his judgment but today he is just one of the people who runs around the football pitch with a whistle.
The same goes for TV projectors once old box that had no takers today there are mini projectors like the eyeclops mini projector that you can carry anywhere and start playing your favorite movies on a big screen.
