No more rank for users, only highdeas.
The ranking of users should be removed. Ranking the users and not just the idea, makes this a popularity contest. Then the ideas suffer, becoming forced and lacking substance. If this website is about spearding highdeas and not popularity then there shouldn't be a ranking system for users only the highdeas. The top users don't even get anything it's all for ego.

I don't really look at it as a ranking system, although some people on here are obsessed with being number one. I just look at it as the people that are most active. You gain karma by voting for stuff mostly. Although some people in the top 10 have over 100 highdeas and only about 5 have been good. A little redundant I must say.
Oh yeah and I just realized it says "Best Karma Users" on the list. So yeah.

Ive got questions. How long has highdeas been active? I've seen some ideas 37 weeks old. And what happened to the chat bar? It was only up 2 days. Or is that just on my iPhone and home computer? I have more questions too.

Well the Karma bar is just there to show who uses the site most often essentially. I just got booted from the top because I haven't been as active in the last few weeks as KCMO and it doesn't bother me bro. Even if it is a competition it doesn't matter if you don't participate you know? ^_^
Greetings forum. Blind voting is one thing - taking the time to read the highDEA and formulate an opinion whether or not it's worthy of an up/down vote is different.
During a recent injury I was blessed with the ability to read back over the hundreds of TRUE highDEAs posted to this site for an entire week with bud/bong in hand. It was quite fun to read the older postings - they were mostly true highDEAs. Now it seems as if anyone with a question, rant or needs to get their roommate high after 100 upvotes posts it here. Quite a shame.
I would recommend that folks should look back over the oldest, popular items. Those seem to be some of the best (before Tosh.0's highlighting of this site brought the mass of inuits to mess up the site.)
