help me out here...
i was smoking outside in the freezing cold yesterday and i started to wonder...is fire the only thing known to man that is not affected by the temperature around it...? i mean, all matter changes somewhat with hotter or colder temps...but fire could give a fuck less...

this is true...
I'm anxious to hear the answer to this.
styrofoam maybe.... i might have spelled that wrong
How can you say it's completely unaffected? Seems far fetched to me.
it is its own heat source... why would anything change how hot it is?
fires not matter its heat and light energy from the chemical reaction going on with the wood/burning material
how are you gonna say fire's not matter? fire is plasma, which is the 4th state of matter
yeah so the temperature will only effect the ability for the fire to start.
you just blew my fucking mind
Fire requires 3 things to exist: heat, fuel, and oxygen. Put flame in a cold enough place and it will no longer burn.
Fire is just light from energy being released. It's not matter- trust me I have a masters in chemistry.
