What Is Math?
Sitting here after a hard wake-n-bake, and i'm wondering. What is math?
when you think of the basics of it,
it's really just a ton of shapes that have meaning put to it,
then some super ass smart people came in, gave it some rules, and now it basically proves everything.
Mind boggling.

not sure i'd put it that way. shapes normally mean geometry, and while geometry is a beautiful branch of mathematics, it certainly is not the only only one. far from it. and those "super ass smart people" did not give math rules. the rules existed before they were born, since the beginning of time. those people simply discovered them. math represents the laws of the universe.
i'm atheist but if i were ever to believe relgiously in anything it would be math. think about the concept of infinity, how it's an ever expanding amount that the human mind can't even conceive of but it exists. probability and statistics predict everything. math is the only perfect thing in this universe therefore it must be "law" or god.
Math and Language are the only Gods we worship lol...thats what separates us from the monkeys.

Math is the international language in our world. This is why we should appreciate it, cause 2+2 in the US is the same shit across the world.

Apparently it's a universal system to figure out everything. Everything revolves around math. bullshit. It's just another idea, like language, or money.
1+1=2 thousands of years ago. 1+1=2 today. Language and money thousands of years ago were very very different. It is not just an idea. You must obey the laws of physics and mathematics. For they are law. They are harder to ignore then laws laid down by the government. The square root of 25 will always be 5. But I certainly won't always listen to the government, especially when tell me not to smoke weed.
