The Universe
Most celestial bodies in the universe are reborn as something else through an extremely violent death. So with that said, could the big bang have been an extremely violent death of a previous universe? And if so, what came before it? :O

kablooeyyyy. ( that was you blowing my mind. )
Maybe the world where smoking was permissible. Or the universe just cycling...like how some have suggested the cycling of our own lives when we die.
-One of the many modern Socrates-
What if the big bang.. was just a planet the exploded on a scale that is completely unfathomable to our minds... and we are just the remnants of that enormous planet, and there's an even larger universe that houses those type of planets in it!
I'll throw a little stoner karma out there and register to inform you guys of multiverse theory. This isn't some crazy theory, and respected scientists entertain this theory.
An infinite number of universes with infinite number of outcomes and paths, which is why we should not stress over little petty things in this universe we're in now, as life is an infinite grid that all interconnects and binds us all as one.
We are made from the very materials stars andplanets are made of, think about it, so when we die, we simply return back into the universe and the cycle continues on in a different place in a different way. An entire bubble bath of universes, each universe being it's own bubble...yeeeah...*hits joint*
Love and Light
apparently after we stop expanding, we're supposed to contract to the center of the universe, so maybe theres an infinite amount of big bangs; our universe is just reborn every time it expands
Actually.. that theory has been proven wrong. The universe isn't slowing down as it's expanding, it's actually accelerating, due to dark energy. Galaxies are moving away from each other at faster than the speed of light. According to this theory, billions and billions of years in the future, every galaxy will be isolated, as none of them will be able to see neighboring galaxies because they are so far away/are moving away faster than light can reach them.
you see, this is why you get high and watch the discovery channel.
animal planet is the shit when you're stoned...just don't watch it at night cuz that shit gets freaky! Big Cat Diary is the bee's knees though!!!
riddle me this- why is there a universe. why the hell is there a universe. i just want to know! it bugs me so much. i wana know why there is just black space with fire balls (stars) and planets and meteors. like what the fuck! how is life possible. how does this happen. it makes no sense to me at all
Well that is the million dollar question.. What is life? How did we get here? What is our purpose? I'm convinced our brains just aren't capable of figuring this out yet. Maybe in time. Thinking of things on a galactic scale just isn't possible for us. I mean.. planets and stars are light years away. LIGHT YEARS. Not ten or twenty, BUT MILLIONS. It's such a great distance.. one can't even begin to imagine that kind of space. And the craziest part is that... most of that expanse.. is empty.
no space is empty space. space is full of stuff. just most of it low energy.
dude, you are dead on. we are more then likely some little bubble of low entropy in a higher entropy higher dimensional universe. think of boiling water. ignite it and the little bits of air between the cracks of the surface rise to the top. (can't boil without air already hidden in there believe it or not). our universe is that tiny little bubble in a boiling pot.
