The Drake Equation (Some Mind Blowing Shit Right Here)
The Drake Equation was developed to estimate the number of extraterrestrial civilizations in our galaxy (The Milky Way). This equation is widely accepted by the scientific community as an accurate way to estimate the amount of civilizations in The Milky Way. At a conservative estimate, according to the Drake Equation, their are around 1000 extraterrestrial civilizations in our galaxy ALONE. Just think about this...1000. Humans=1. Keep in mind this is a CONSERVATIVE estimate and their could be as many as 5000.
Also another thing to think about, the Milky Way is 1 out of approximately 250 BILLION galaxies out their in space. I feel that when someone says humans are the only life form they are being extremely arrogant. If you want to learn more about Drake's Equation feel free to look it up, its pretty damn interesting.

I wonder, are there any other worlds with a spark of life and intelligence burns? Is it possible that, as you look up at the same stars on a warm summer evening, or a snowy winter midnight and wonder if humanity is alone in the universe, at that same instant someone else on a distant world is looking up at the same sky and wondering the very same question?

you know what i think is just as trippy is that what if every sci fi show or movie weve ever seen is in someway real and happening on one of those many other planets. just think of the technology they have. space travel, artificial gravity....lightsabers.

what if, because it takes so long for light to reach distant planets and galaxies that we are looking at planets that already have life, we just dont see them yet. like maybe scientists on a different planet are looking at earth, but are only just now seeing the dinosaurs. and one says to another, "hey theres intellegent life there, perhaps we should go investigate." and the other guys all, "fuck that man, those things look fuckin mean. lets hit this aswome space-bowl instead."
