Proof of The Upper Limit of Speed dependant on light
If distance equals rate times time (d=rt), then d/t=r. If the smallest interval of length is the Planck length (lp) and the shortest interval of time is the Planck second (tp); then the fastest possible speed is calculated to be lp/tp=c, or the speed of light.
I suppose this makes sense because even if the values for the Planck scale are wrong or there is no inherent Planck length & time in the universe, we are bound to certain limits. After all, any information must travel at the speed of light because any tool we use will transmit data at 'c'. Furthermore, because of this fact, a Planck mass must exist.

Any system based on universal constants is flawed. Because we cannot measure 'prove' something does not mean it does not exist, plank scale is base on what we can prove. The act of measuring itself skews the equation. Time is defined to be what our clocks measure. There is no 'time', it is the decaying and reforming of anti-matter that we should better 'measure'. Perception is faster then 'time'. I can write this x= 7*24^69 meters per second, but it cannot be done; can it or did it not just happen.
not to mention, you can move faster than the speed of light relative to certain things, ie. your surroundings

relativity, if i'm going 3/4 of the speed of light, and someone else is going 3/4 of the speed of light, then relative to that person (or planet, or whatever it may be) i'm going 1.5 times the speed of light.
someone needs to review their basic physics :/. everything is relative to their geodesic in SPACETIME, not SPACE. So i don't feel like doing the lorentz contraction here. but if both of you were traveling that fast you would move 75% slower through time thus neither would appear to the other as moving faster than the speed of light. plus direction matters in vectors...are they moving towards or away from eachother...
the only way to travel faster then light is by increasing the maximum speed of light relative to spacetime. this can only be achieved through extreme geodesic warping or hyperdimensional phase shifts as far as i know.

not exactly, they are actually in multiple places at once when those clouds appear. quantum decoherance, tunneling, and entanglement. these properties are forced by the uncertainty principle. which is caused by reimann spheres projected onto tightly wound hyperdimensions called superstrings (at least according to the superstring theorists, but its the best answer we'll ever come up with).

I believe they have discovered some sort of new atom that can theoretically travel faster than the speed of light. All this theoretical shit makes me angry though lol. But what has been proven is that some galaxies are accelerating away from each other faster than the speed of light. I am convinced that this is just another hurdle mankind needs to climb. I believe one day, if we are around long enough, we will break that barrier. Or, perhaps, find a way around it.

But just in case we can simply assume that "c" stands for whatever the fastest thing in the universe is.
Well, if we're going based on physics, of course you're correct, but the world is only what we perceive. Perceptions differ from one person to the next, one organism to the next.
Because speed is based on time, which is only a variable because time is fluid and though we are only moving through it at the rate we are it may be possible to increase or decrease it's rate, then d=r(t) is also variable. We're only human, we'll never get a handle on the world, or at least what we think it is.
The existance of things like FTL-particles is just baffling, like the tachyon.
With the tachyon being able to travel faster than light, if you sent that tachyon out to a spaceship that was flying away, at a certain speed for the ship, you would actually receive your tachyon before you sent it.
So if you think about it, if you received your tachyon back, it would HAVE to be sent to that spaceship sometime in the future. It would absolutely have to happen, no matter what (it always will) because it would break causality.
