LIfe's time delay

its weird to think that you never see things at the exact moment they happen..for example, someone rips the bong on the couch right next to you, but then you have to wait for the light to bounce off of them and enter your eyes, everything you see is delayed (albeit an extremely small delay)

i guess you could say that with all of your senses too, like hearing things after they happen (thunder)..or you dont feel things untill they have already been touching you for a brief moment in time cause your nerves have to send the signal to your brain to process it..

its sorta like how if a person jumped out of an airplane with no parachute, reached terminal velocity, and somehow landed feet first, assuming they could live long enough to feel pain, they would feel their head hit the ground before they felt their feet because they would be crushed faster than the nerves could send the pain to the brain to get processed...wow i just wrote wayyy too much

yea man, we only percieve what the world gives us. what if we develop another sense through evolution? it could happen if it helped us adapt to the world we have created for ourselves

i have the sense to tell when i get a txt before it happens

*why are you reading this when you could be blazing another bowl?*

agreed, and your quote just reminded me to finish my bowl.. thank you sir

Interesting... xoxox

we only process, or are aware of, the equivalent of 40,000 bits of "quantum information" when we are swimming in a sea of trillions.

I've had this happen to me several times, as we all have i imagine, one example is I remember being upset about a boy i liked when I was in highschool, and I went to take a bookout of my locker that was also stuffed with my girlfriends stuff as well. finally I ripped it out and was in a hurry to get to class. when I got there my friend stopped me in class and said that my arm was bleeding, but I was so distracted in the mean time that I had no time to process that I had hurt myself

mind...fucking...blown

and u kno it's real crazy when it blows my mind and I'm not even high (by force not choice)

Actually, your nerves work much faster than terminal velocity. While, yeah, you'd be hitting so fast you wouldn't have time to feel much, but your brain would have received the signals from the bottom of your feet well before your ankles even have something to tell the brain about.
