Imagine if the world just stopped spinning.
What would happen? Would everything just get obliterated? Our planet spins at about 1000 miles per hour and we are used to that, what if it just stopped!? Oh my god.

Shit would be crazy. Pretty much everything that isn't incredibly well anchored to the earth would be ripped up because the atmosphere would still be spinning at that speed.
the theroy of relativity says that the faster we move the slower we age. the earth spins at about 1200 mph so if it stopped we wud all get really old really fast...maybe...but proly not

we also would not have day/night on certain parts of the world....seasons would be fucked up too prolly
Depending on if the whole earth stopped of just bits of it the planet may rip it self apart, also the moment it stopped we and everything else on the surface including dirt would be expelled into space.

the earth would fall off its axis and drift i think. we would most likely drift either too close or too far away from the sun, thus causing the world to either freeze over or be burnt to a crisp.

we would shoot off the world instantly cuz' of our forward inertia. everything... like every blade of grass, every house etc.

everything will be crushed to the ground instantly because the earths rotation offsets it gravity a bit (centrifigul force). the movie they made about this was called "the day the earth stood still"
Actually if the world would to stop, there would be no existence of seasons. Half of the world would face the sun, constanly getting hit by the rays, the environment wouldn't be able to adapt quickly enough, and everything would be a desert. On the other side of the planet, it would never recieve sun, forcing it to become cold, and complete darkness. No life would exist on earth.
