Dolphins have almost the same brain capacity as humans. But they have no hands so they can't build anything for themselves, which is what allows for a civilization to be started. So dolphins must have a ton of crazy ideas in their heads that they can't really do anything about. Since we have the technology (and the hands) we should make mechanical hands to attach to dolphins so they can start getting shit done for themselves. Dolphins could start there whole own underwater society comparable to ours on land

Even if it was, who are we to prevent life from striving? Think about it, if we had no hands, and somebody had the ability to give us them, you wouldn't want to kill them for it. Or am I just crazy?

naaaa they would jst use their hand to go to the surface of the water share a joint and say hi;)

Thu, 04/07/2011 - 8:28pm

Not necessarily they seem mad chill maybe they'd just wanna burn with us. But if worse comes to worse at least they're still stuck in the water, that's why I didn't say to give them legs or lungs. They can figure that one out on their own

Dolphins are mammals. They breath oxygen like we do.

that sounds like it would be so cool, like we could go to their underwater cities and like sit next to a little pool and all of a sudden a dolphin swims up and takes a hit off my pipe through its blowhole
fun :)

Where are you obtaining this information from? I'm serious though, link me. If it is you who is coming up with this theory, you are being ignorant from a neurological perspective. When comparing the "brain capacity" of humans and dolphins, you should realize that their cognitive processes are in completely different realms (not to say similarities don't exists). The way a dolphin perceives existence is quite drastically different than a human for many reasons. Dolphins are a lot more instinctual than humans. They use sonar, and have senses humans do not. Most animals have an upper hand in certain areas of the brain when compared to humans. This is not to say they are of equal or superior overall "intelligence". To cut this short I will say this: Dolphins happen to be one of the most intelligent, if not most intelligent animal besides humans. However, I think it's going a bit over board when people start thinking they can create a human-like society. Read a lot about evolution, and this might make more sense. Peace, and keep thinking creative.

You're right, I didn't actually research this. I remember learning from some nature videos I saw that dolphins had almost equivalent brain capacity to humans. I didn't consider what you're saying at the time, that their brain power is being focused completely on their own survival, instead of creatively and cooperatively in a way that they could create and improve a civilization. Maybe they would create an every man for himself anarchy with their new hands though, if they can't use them to build they'll use them to fight. Wow that quote really applies to people too. Peace and herb man, peace and herb

yea i came here to say something like this. Dolphins have a completely different reality than we do and they are in such a different environment. Yea and definitely keep the creative posts coming. People need to really start coming together and sharing ideas through the web. Turn your backs on your culture and shit people.

think about how humans treat eachother because of small differences like color, allot of ppl would eventually treat dolphins shitty, dolphins would develop advanced nanobot corals that eat land & they would sink all land, the remaining humans would be on big ships the govt. built & had. it would be robot dolphins v. humans in waterworld

Male dolphins can wrap around and hold things with their prehensile penis. Giving them hands will just free their dicks up for other things.

Btw great highdea!

Why are you knowledgable in the field of prehensile penises?

if dolphins were supposed to have hands, they wouldve had them. evolution would have gave them hands.
