The world is just rotating underneathe us. hmm..

i think you're touching on the theory of relativity there, mate. think about it this way: if you were standing on a train, bouncing a ball up and down, that's how you would perceive the movement of the ball (strictly vertical, up and down up and down). Now let's say I was standing next to the rail road tracks and I could see you bouncing the ball. To me, the ball would not only be moving up and down, but also in the direction that the train is moving. the velocity of the ball with respect to my position would be completely different from yours because to me, the ball would be moving a farther distance in the same amount of time.
I think he was sort of taking that thought and looking at it in a different way because of the weed. I saw it as him wondering if the rotation of the earth might have any effect, negative or positive, on your momentum in a vehicle. This also got me wondering, at what speed do you need to travel to effectively match the speed of the earth's rotation? What time would it technically be for you while you were traveling through the earths axis' rotation with it? Makes you realize what time really is, something made up to help the members of what was deemed to be the "right" kind of society make it on time to their respective duties and responsabilities. I may have misinterpreted this kids thought, but it helped take me on a whole nother one, which is what highdea sharing is all about.

sorry to post that twice, it's not that I feel I'm that important. I just did it by accident and can't figure out how to delete it
i got to "Now let's say"...
you're a bigger buzz kill
that Mr.Buzzkillington...
(time to load a bowl)
:]]
you must be one of those "huh" guys when you get stoned...you know, whenever something happens or someone says something to you, you just give them that look and go "huh?"...c'mon man don't let herb turn you into a bowl of grits
You sound like one of those guys who try to put a label on everything.
I speak in 1's and 0's... you can not do that with a brain of grits.
-There are 10 types of people in this world. Those
who know binary and those who don't.
dud man i used to think the same thing...your not really moving the road is man
you could do that if you drive in the opposite direction of earths rotation at the same speed of earths rotation. i gotta try that some time.
I've already said this....different wording but its pretty much what i've already said.
You'd have to be driving pretty god damn fast to keep up with the earths rotation, interesting thought though.
i can prove it doesnt work. think about it. if the earths rotation took us places, we wouldnt need engines in our cars. we would simply just give it wheels and start to push it, and it would gain momentum. since the earth has gravity, it creates friction, and friction causes the body in motion to come to rest. a body at rest stays in rest, just like your car when you park it outside your pad. the idea is pretty cool though, and can be used in shit like flight space travel. i think the space shuttles can rotate around the earth in a matter of like 8 hours or something like that... cool stuff to think about!
i used to think that when i was 10
but then the world would need to revolve like a rubix sphere so everyone driving at the same time would get where they needed to be
your still travaling.
this could never happen considering how extremely tiny humans are compared to the earth , sorry
He's High, & all those arguing with him are even higher.... no $#!+ the earth aint movin like that......but what if?? excellent Highdea.....
but the earth is moving like that hypetheticly you could follow the sky and stay in the same relitive place on the glob from a space zone perspective.
