i dream of a practical world...
Im laying on my couch, blown, and a jared jewelers commercial comes on. Of course I pay too much attention to it on account of the trance i'm in and it depicts a husband suprising his wife on christmas with a platinum necklace with huge diamonds in it while a narrator says "show her you love her with a diamond from jared jewelers". why do we put so much value in minerals and compounds, for crying out loud a diamond is just carbon, we're all made of it! Plus what is a 10,000 ring even worth? I cant smoke it, i can't watch it, i can't play it... its not worth anything to me.

Hell, my ex wife was lucky to get a Funyon necklace from me. Hmmm, maybe why she's my ex.
Blaze on ;)~
ahaha, for real..i dont need any expensive jewelry, clothes is another subject..
but drugs are a great gift we can both use and love!!!
hell yeah man.. i'm not hating on shellin out a couple hundred to get some swag or jewelry that looks good and doesn't rust/leave a green mark, just the excessive value placed in some
Yeah I hate those commercials. It's like its saying love is based on material things. So now the media is blinding women into thinking that if a man doesn't buy them diamonds then they don't love them.
This is why:

i'm a chick and i don't care why it's important, it just IS. I want a HUGE ass diamond and all the accessories to go with it - CAR, CREDIT CARD, HOUSE, TOYS.
be quiet. get back in the kitchen.
Ever stare into the brilliant sparkle of a diamond on a beautiful sunny day while spectacularly high? One word. Simply Marvelous. (big happy sigh and a smile).... Life is good. xoxoxox
Those. Commercials. Suck. The diamond industry keeps diamonds scarce even though they could be grown in a lab by now, even with imperfections so it would be really hard to tell the difference between lab-grown diamonds and natural ones. People who mine diamonds generally don't have the best working conditions. I'll even grant that some people have a taste for wearing jewelry and that should be their personal choice, but the diamond industry seems pretty deceptive to me.
okay...i'm a girl but i don't expect a man to spend thousands of dollars of dollars on jewelry that i would never wear anyway. but diamonds are spectacular! i have my great-grandmother's engagement ring and being single i wear it on my right ring-finger. i can sit and stare at that diamond all day. in the light reflecting all the colors of the rainbow and making me think about what it represents. but if a guy wanted to propose to me he wouldn't have to buy me a new ring...he could just take this ring off my right hand and put it on my left. then it would represent so much more and make me even happier.
ive always wanted to get a ring band/symbol tattooed on my finger instead of expecting a diamond or w/e. it just seems so much more meaningful and permanent than a piece of jewelry....and you cant lose a tattoo in the garbage disposal, plus they're much cheaper, which im all about :)
just get me an endless fucking nug. ill be youres forever :))
xoxo
In Wales a young man gives (or used to give...back when the Welsh were too poor to afford rings) a "love spoon" to his fiance. Basically it was a wooden spoon carved with, well, whatever they want. Normally their names/initials and symbols of love or of Wales or both.
Great tradition.
(hehehe) Sweet dreams are made of the endless nug ... bongnablintz your awesome!
My diamond ring is all I wear and I love it. How do you spell mesmerizing? Brilliant color... I do wish it were my great-grandmothers.... that is so sweet mustangsally. Well done. xoxox
