Our brains are the only thing in this universe that allow human beings to learn, understand, and comprehend. But when we try to understand exactly how our brains work, we can't ever fully understand how and why. Thus, our brains cannot understand themselves.

Why do we have to understand our brains? Can I just live and experience what I have created with my mind without understanding why?

our brains are also the most complex thing in the entire known universe. the only thing that could be more complex might be an alien's brain or something. but other than that, we're the most complex. neato.

If our brains were self aware it would mean it had an opposite. we only understand being alive as we do because we die. our brains would need a "not-brain" object or entity to understand itself.. lol... of course, none of that makes any sense...hahaha. but just, if we had that "not-brain" thing, perhaps we really would understand it. What things we could know...

however, if our brains were self aware...wouldnt it be kinda like A.I.?? what if our brains took over?!!? OH YEAH!!

I guess the idea that one must know himself before he can know anything else would indeed transfer to the human brain. Just think of what the brain could know if only it knew more about itself...

this assuming that our brains are separate entities in and of ourselves. you know what I'm saying? It's like, we always refer to our brains as tricking us and not working, etc., but we wouldn't even be able to acknowledge those types of things without them. Damn.
