Back in The Day...
Remember back in the day, when we were just kids, we had no worries, no problems. We didnt have to worry bout paying bills, or worry about what we're gonna do wit our lives. The biggest problems we had were what we were gonna do at recess, or just gettin the answers to last nights math homework. Sometimes i wish we could go back, if only for a little while.

I'd say celebrate what you've got, don't long for what you can't have. Besides the memories are/would be better than any return visit...

the freedom of childlike expression
But think how much more freedom you have now when you control your own life. You want to go take a road trip somewhere over the weekend with a mate? you can do that now. You want to have a joint in your living room with some housemates? you can do that now. You get my picture, i loved the fun of childhood as everyone i'm sure does, but don't forget that the world is yours for the taking now, enjoy it
You know, I think about this sometimes, and I really wish I could go back. But the thing is, if we were back there, it wouldn't be too great. If we know what we know now, life would still be just as stressful. If we forget everything and just go straight back, innocence would be all we knew, and we wouldn't realize how good we have it. Life is just progression, and you have to make the most of what you have.
I like to think that weed for me rekindles my childlike curiosity about the world, only now that I'm older I can go out and do stuff with it. Indulging your inner child when you're high is one of the greatest things ever when you're high, with fruit snacks, cartoons, nature walks, people watching, whatever it is they're all fucking fantastic!
I was just thinking about this today as well...sure, there were less worries, but there were a lot less freedoms as well. Everything was pre-measured, we had to do what we were told at all times. Now, shit...I do what I want, when I want.
And goddamit, I didn't get nearly as good of weed as I did when I was younger. I'm definitely glad about that.
My friends and I talk about this all the time haha. Great minds think alike.
