Yeah, we all know it. It's that whole waiting for people to start respecting us thing though, people who want to actually change things aren't taken seriously. So we're chillin' for a few years and then fixin' shit, well, that's the plan anyway.

Everyone criticizes us, and I really don't know if I've ever disagreed, I just kind of nod my head and tell them I want to live in Canada or Australia, or Portland, Oregon just because it's cool there. But yeah, majority of us agree. It's just the oldsters we're waiting for to change their minds about something, anything.
So yeah, chillin'.

I WISH I WAS CANADIAN. Canada's my favorite.

Don't hate on Mexico, man. It really is a beautiful place and it's citizens are way different than people here in the United States. People there are so friendly and it just seems they carry themselves in such a different way. They aren't influenced by tv and material possessions in the same way we are. Not to say it's some poor and sucky place to live in that doesn't have television. It's just that Americans have the worst mind set about fucking everything. It's like Mexicans treat you with the utmost respect, as if they've known you their whole lives. A lot of people here would give you that wtf face if you just said hi.

Well, that's good to know.

For those who don't know about Canada, except in places like Toronto, there's not many cops. I live in a small city, just outside Greater Toronto Area. While the general population is still equally uniformed as yours, nobody really takes marijuana as an offense. Also, it's barely a crime here. 6 months in jail, $2000 fine, maximum, for carrying 30g or less on you. They're not after the little people. If they catch us, sometimes, they'll arrest us. But this also depends on where you are. Most of the time, however, they won't go after us unless they either catch us in the act of smoking in a public place, or they are trying to convict us of something else too.

What that boils down to is this: I live here happily, but nobody understands me except a few. The law does look down on us, sure, but I've never in my life been approached by a cop. Our neighbourhoods are friendly, and safe, so you don't have to worry about crime above "troubled high school teen" level. It's kinda nice. However, society is still for the most part fucked up, but there is TONS of open land to be free, if you so wanted to buy up several hundred acres in the middle of nowhere, you could, and for around $100,000. Way cheaper than a house.

But I can not speak for other parts of Canada. We don't really hear about them at all. Just Ontario. The other ones are totally separate from us. I have no IDEA how they live, either. One day I'll get to travel, and I'll find out.

I live in south Texas and the laws suck completely.
I'm not in any way a criminal but I've been through a lot of crazy shit with the police for just marijuana it's ridiculous..
Sometimes, a lot of times, I feel out of place here.
Canada seems more peaceful than most parts in America, and it's such a drag that the calm can't spread universally, because of corrupted society and government. Yeah America has some beauty, but most of us are straight up fucked and lost.
I do love my home, but you're right. I would love to travel the rest of this world, it'd be tremendous.

I think that the legislation that happening right now in America is completely wrong. It appears to be personal agendas and mindless bills being passed. Whereas situations that require immediate action or at least a lot of deliberation are being pushed aside and ignored OR being voted on quickly without thinking. Granted, I do believe that hopefully we can fix the current situation that's happening I hope it will be sooner than later.

I'm pretty sure we all know how fucked our country is. Politicians are all liars and the old men that we have in office don't care about the younger generations or our future. They're basically in office for their own good and to amass their own wealth as they're bleeding us dry of our hard earned money. Basically we're all fucked.

It's the American government that's fucked up, not the people. Our government continuously brainwashes the ignorant, conservative public that's too afraid to educate themselves in order to stand up for themselves. The government is supposed to fear the people, but here the people fear the government, and that's totally backwards. I hate living in this country, it goes against everything I believe.

you can't blame it all on the government. hollywood and reality tv have just as much to do with the degradation of american society as greedy/selfish politicians.

i literally think about this ALL the time. i think about how i would restructure america if it were possible.
i mean, geographically, america is GREAT. we are on both coasts, we have huge amounts of land and the ability to farm all kinds of foods with our diverse climates, we have a super diverse population.
but the way our society and our government are structured.... there's just so much room for improvement!
i sometimes wish that i lived in america several hundred years ago... it's just such a simpler time. like. i would LOVE to be a native american. (before the europeans rolled in, obviously)

i live in western ny about 10 minutes from the canadian border and i've spent a good amount of time in canada. they have their fair share of problems just like any other country but how can you really respect a country that still has nearly absolute loyalty to the country that colonized them? the queen is still on their money and they have a seat in their parliament that they leave empty just in case the queen ever comes hahahahaha. but on the real, the united states may not be the perfect society but it's undoubtedly the greatest country on earth to live in. look at all the opportunity that we're presented with as americans. you never really realize how great america is until you live abroad and you see people who don't have the same opportunities.
