how do we know everyone sees colors the same way..like what if through one persons eyes purple looks completely different from another's? or like your eye color has something to do with it....

my brother cant see purple. he sees blue instead
"It'd be cooler if you did"
i always thought this and i thought i was crazy to think it
I totally had a conversation about this the other day!
i bet people do. but i think most people see it the same way...
dude ive been thinking about this for a while. its impossible to know mann
haha this is actually true bro. Every individual has different ratios of cones which detect particular colors of light. Most people see similar colors but i'm pretty sure every person see's slightly altered shades of the colors. Your blue is not my blue.
Cheers
i thought about this before, but there really is no sure way to tell
ive thought this for so long. and the thing is, is that none of us will ever fucking know
"One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain" -Bob Marley
I swear I have a conversation, and 2 days later what I was talking about shows up on here. Awesome.
it's all about perception just like how hot is too hot we see and feel things differently and then you have to take into consideration what color would blue be if you didn't know blue was blue we know our colors be cause we have been taught them but as far as the actual color i'm sure everyones perception is slightly different even if it's just a lil bit
omg, i trip out about this all the time..
i feel like we have all thought of this, but we think that it is just way too complex to explain to other people. well put my friend...... well put.
THis is an epic post!!! We just had an 1hr and a half conversation about this that then spun off to what if people sound different then what you hear....now we are talking about smelling.
EPIC!!!
its crazy to think that everything doesn't have color too! like and seriously we are upside down but something in our eye makes it right side up to us. freaky shit.
it does happen, i had a chemistry teacher in high school who didn't know he was colorblind until his first grade teacher asked him why he colored the ground orange, thinking he had issues and drew a landscape of fire with his house and family, but i guess he sees orange when he sees things we perceive to be green. speaking of green, who wouldn't smoke some crazy orange nugs? haha
i've been thinking the same thing for years and ive tried to explain it to my mom and friends and they didn't get it.
that would explain why people don't like some colors while other people do.
like i hate yellow, but maybe if i saw it through someone else's eyes who likes it, then it would look cool.
What the heck! oh my gosh ive been thinking this for years...like my red is your blue? yeahhh....totally.
