If an earthquake happened on Mars it would still be called an earthquake and not a marsquake because earth in that context refers to solid matter and land ig. soil, sand, dirt etc. And on Mars there is solid matter. lol
Wrong.
Earth is only what we call soil because the soil we live on is the planet Earth.
If we lives on Mars, we would call the soil and land Mars.
Common sense fail.
Why don't we shorten it to quake just to be safe? Mars is the god of war and all. I wouldn't want to be on his bad side.
