Why are yawns so contagious? If I see somebody yawn or am talking about yawning I always end up yawning. Some of you may be yawning right now just reading this. I have never understood that at all.

NO LIE, as I was waiting for this to load I yawned.
GTFO of my mind, man!
Your mom yawned while she was waiting for my load OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH
It's a joke. We like to have fun here.
Sounds a lot like Penn State. I'm joking. We like to have fun here.
coconut head, youre my favorite highdea-commenter. hands down
When I read your post, I thought it said "waiting for this load", as in waiting for some dude to ejaculate. lol
some people think it's survival based. I see you take in a larger amount of oxygen and subconsciously compete with you for that oxygen wrongly assuming there's only so much to go around.
It's actually because our brains are lacking oxygen, which explains why we usually only yawn when we're bored or tired. And whenever someone sees someone else yawn, it's as if they feel their brain needs oxygen, too. It's like a domino placebo effect.
Its due to Mirror Neurons. Its basically the same principle as why when someone smiles you feel like smiling too
Speaking of mirrors, if you saw yourself yawn if front of a mirror, would you keep yawning until you looked away?
You know the thing that is more contagious then yawning? SMILING:D
for some reason, no matter how bad i need to i can never yawn stoned
you made me yawn and now my eyes are all watery and glassy. you beesterd (pronounce it like peter griffin).
i smack people in the face when they yawn and go "stop it... stop it"
Dude I know, my fuckn dog yawned today and it made me yawn.
I once read that yawning was a leftover primal way of communication. Like, it used to be a way of linkning up to the people around you. It was fuckin' crazy.
