i dont know what it is but screamo (cept zimmers hole) is fucking lame, you cant rock out with it the same as other music such as stoner rock and psychadelia, it doesnt even like release endorphins into my brain which i can feel other music do, Rythmic is the way to go and non sense fast paced angry screamo is just boring.
Now dont get me wrong I am thrash enthusiast and all metal for that matter but vocals mean alot to me and when you get bands that just murder vocals,its a turn off an its even worst when they cant play their instruments...

I really like hardcore music and don't understand why people bash it. Most people think of "screamo" as angry kill everyone music, when it's not.
But I will admit, when I'm high i like something mellower. Like a good trance song.
You`re right. most screamo does suck. However, metalcore,deathcore,mathcore,prog metal and hardcore are absoluetly awsome to listen to when baked.
True, this style of music is harsh to soft ears. And a MAJOR buzzkill, but obviously you should try listening to it when you are in the right mindset....angry and sober. but in the end its all music! hardcore, screamo, emo, whatever you wanna call any band you hear, there's some talent there. so sit back and put on city in color. I recommend a strong dose of Pink Floyd. Start with Division Bell and work your way back from there. It doesn't get any chiller than that. That is my professional opinion.
btw, try out winds of plague, attack attack, and asking alexandria....then tell me what sucks. slipknot and new metal is so oldschool, try some HARDCORE.

Lol. Being High doesn't open your eyes to better music in general(Everybody has their own opinion) but music that is better in your opinion. It makes you want to listen to music that flows to your perception of good. Some people like easy listening, and some like deathcore, screamo, and etc. Being high doesn't necessarily change your taste in music.
