The Word "Pot"
Can we all agree not to use the word "Pot" from now on? It has such a negative connotation. Think about it. Whenever someone is talking bad about it they call it "Pot" and call us "potheads". Its so negative. Its like when homophobes call gay people "fags". Lets use more creative words. Green, ganja, and bud are all acceptable. Feel free to comment and add your own favorite words.

I don't see whats so negative about the word pot. I think people on the news and stuff say it more because it's a shorter word for it and it sounds better when you say things like pothead and pot leaf which arent negative at all

totally agree, and me and my friends like to call it sensi, dank, dro, spliff, bruce banner, feta (because you crumble it like feta haha), cheese (if the weed we got smells cheesy), fruit or fruits (if the weed smells really fruity). blunts can be called witches brooms (especially if they're kinda crooked) or L's, frosted flakesis another one for weed, that's all i can think of atm since i'm bbbaaaakkkkkkkeeeddd

I use the word "dave" to talk about weed when i'm on the phone. I also refer to "dave" as a person.
Ie: Me- "Yo man, you know where dave is?" (Where the bud at?")
Friend- "Yea dude, he's over here you wanna kick it?" (Yea, i got some, wanna smoke?"

The word "pot" isn't the problem. It's the word "stoner" that is synonymous with negativity. I mean, think about what they called the people that stoned people to death in biblical times. I would think they were called "stoners". What the hell does that have to do with smoking pot anyway?
dude i think the connotation attached to the word might be a regional thing. like the word pot isnt always a lame word for it in some places. like i call it pot sometimes just because thats what we call it. i guess the word pot isnt as negative as in other places.
Its very possible that its a regional thing. All I know is I have been up and down the east coast and everyone here who hates weed calls it pot with so much disdain. And they use pothead as a slur almost. Think about every anti-weed commercial. All of them call it pot. Listen Im not saying I have a problem with the word. Im merely saying that others use it against us and we should refrain from doing so ourselves. Besides its not even a fun word to say.
