I started smoking at 19, after a bad motorcycle accident fucked my hand up. (Two metacarpal bones split lengthwise, soft tissue damage, dislocations..) The doc would only prescribe Tylenol 3s with codeine, and I have a terrible reaction to codeine. I was HURTING. Bad. The pills just moved some of the hurt to my stomach. I talked with a friend, and long story short, he managed to get me a $20 bag. When I started buying from a dealer my neighbour introduced me to, I realized that the first $20 bag I got was easly a quarter ounce. I was rolling with one hand plus a tender thumb on the other, so these were huge joints, and I got 11 joints, not including the roaches.

I had smoked a few hits here and there at parties and such, but I never did party much so I was never high before I used it medicinally. I was in a lot of pain and, as far as I knew at the time, chronic pain sufferers smoke one joint every few hours or so. I only had this one time slot in the evening that I could go outside, smoke up, and go inside without my parents being suspicious. (I moved out when I went back to work 3 months later because I have some mental issues with driving/riding motorcycles) So I decided that I'd try smoking two joints, because I was already prepared for the harshness of the smoke.

So I walked out back, sat on the hood of the car parked in the alleyway (my dad owned it, it later went on to not finish an endurance/derby race) and sparked up. The first joint, when it got down to a roach, I flung it. Not even knowing you could save roaches... But I figured it out before I flung the second one away. So after the two joints, but before it hit me full on, I walked through the yard, back into the house. Sat down in front of the computer in the living room, put some headphones on... and it hit me.... like a brick. I tranced out for hours to techno. I didn't feel the pain. Actually it would be more like.. "How's your hand?" "What's a hand?" at that level of stoned. That continued every night for about a week before I started to get used to it and able to control myself while high.

I do miss those first highs, but they also didn't have the good things from later highs that only experience brings.

started smoking over a year ago, in the summer, me and my buddies from work went up to the river for the day, floated down on giant tubes with a 30 pack and some rum. one of the guys pulled out his bowl when we stopped for lunch and we all blazed. i was so fucked up i could barely stand up straight once we finished. when we finally went to continue down the river it litterally took me about 10 min to get into my tube cause i kept falling off or i couldnt climb onto it. funniest shit ever. hands down one of the best days of my life, ill never forget it. and i dont care how gay it sounds i love those guys more than my own family, ill never meet friends as good as them (they are also a good number of years older than me, me being only 17 at the time and the oldest of them being 29 at the time lol)

ya dude the first time i smoked was by myself with a tin foil bowl. It was awesome.

ya man, nothing ever compares to when i forst got high when i was about 12 or so. i fuckin miss those days terribly.
i still have fun but damn man, it just opened my eyes so much on that first toke.

I recently started smoking. I didn't really know what to expect besides what everyone says: you feel sorta sleepy, you get really hungry and really giggly. I've smoked 5 times, twice through a homemade pipe i made with a soda bottle, a snapple cap and some tape; and the other three times with an apple bong. I must say i think i've perfected the apple bong. the first time i did it i made the bowl way too big so i had to use apple chunks to fill up the whole. the second time was still too big but not as bad as the first (i twisted the knife in the core instead of carving out the core). the third (and most recent) time i did it i used a flathead screwdriver. i packed the bowl that time and i swear to god that first hit was light hearing the angels singing to me. I felt like i found the holy grail. I'm pretty sure until i get a real bowl i'll be using apples.

i first tried weed in brownies my freshman year in HS. i think they were made wrong though (like the green was thrown into the batter afterwards or somethin) but i did't get shit from them. couple of months later i'm staying at a friends house 30 min away from my parents for a weekend. my friend had gotten some green from a friend who owed him for something. and he asks if i want to try smoking some weed. i was like "sure why not?" so we go to this old married couples house (both were in their 70s) who all the kids in the neighberhood go to when they don't have papers or a piece to smoke from.(this is a small town in central tx btw). they didn't have any papers but they had these expensive seafoam pipes they'd got from germany that had so much resin built up. the green we'd gotten was some 7 times smoked (roaches of roaches of roaches...) mexican redhair. man i got sooooo messed up. we watched the dark crystal and i was trippin some balls. later i got the munchies and made my way to their kitchen. after eating some hotwings me and my friend were sitting at the table just talking and i start feeling real nauseous. about 2 minutes later i'd ended up puking all over the floor. my friend cleaned it up cause i couldn't stand up without getting sick again.
my friend didn't think i'd ever smoke again. but like i told him later. "yeah, the puking sucked. but the rest was the shit." been blazing ever since (almost 10 years)

a filled bowl needs to be emptied, and an empty bowl needs to be filled.
