African American - Halfrican
I'm so sick up and fed with the term African American. How many generations removed from the "mother land" do you have to be before you are just a regular "American". From now on, those who insist on being referred to in a special way are forevermore to be referred to as "Halfricans".

Oh man, this gets under my skin so much. My parents are immigrants (European), English is my second language, and many of the customs I grew up with are straight from the old country. Yet I'm always just 'white' not '-American' because I was born here.

you have no idea how much i agree with this..ive brought up this point in just about every college class ive taken and some back in highschool..and NOBODY ever thinks i have a valid point! ive gotten in trouble so many times from this..all im sayin is that if they dont want to be called black, dont call me white; if they want to be called african-american, call me european-american. whats so difficult to understand???
