i am a recovering heroin addict. i urge everyone to NEVER TRY ANY FORM OF OPIATES EVEN ONCE. they will grab you by the balls and never let go.

Wed, 10/10/2012 - 10:30am

Only hookers do heroin orrrrr???

I mean, I get it, but to each their own. Don't place yourself on a moral high ground b/c you chose weed over heroin...

You just use a different method of escape =/

Mon, 10/15/2012 - 5:25pm

Why wouldn't you put yourself on a moral high ground for picking weed (a substance with almost no negative effects) to heroine (one of the worst drugs in history)?

nurplette Says:

Well, I guess if it makes you feel better about yourself, go ahead and judge heroin users.

I always feel happier when I'm accepting, comforting, or helping someone rather than belittling them for having different morals.

Mon, 10/15/2012 - 6:27pm

i try not to judge anyone but I've had to do cpr until an ambulance arrived while my friends lips and fingernails turned blue from snorting heroin so fuck heroin and stupid kids with morals like you

@nurplette, clearly youre not all that close to addicts. they steal from you, lie to you, and will always place the substace ahead of you. even if they get clean theyre never the same person again and will always be on the edge of becoming that scumbag once again. its a tragedy to see someone you care about turn into someone like that.

with you more or less wagging your finger at "judging" someone who uses heroin is ironic and your comment is very nieve and thats no way to navigate thru reality.

smeaz Says:

That's not really true. A couple years ago I was HUGE into cocaine and prescription pills. I was on probation at the time and my PO was mad chill. She had asked for one clean drug test, I failed it. That's when she found out I was doing coke. I ended up going to rehab for 30 days, it was that or get court ordered 6-12 months so I bit the bullet and said fuck it.

At the time I was such an angry person, at my PO and family for thinking I was some big drug addict and sending me to rehab. The coke disillusioned my brain into thinking I had everything under control. I did my 30 days and upon coming back from rehab I was a totally different person, a better person. Regardless of what anyone says about rehab that shit can help you not only realize weed is the only way to go, but to help you find out about yourself. You're stuck with your thoughts and away from loved ones. You can either make it for the better or stay an angry person and not change. I stole from family members, I lied, I hurt more people than just myself. I came out of rehab realizing that, a few months after I got back I had to get a job for my probation requirements. I never saw any of the money I made working for almost a year. Why? I paid my mom back for all the money I stole and then some. Same with my step-dad and grandparents. A year later I graduated high school. I walked at graduation, something my PO nor my family ever thought I'd have a chance at doing.

Currently, I'm pursing my life as a photographer and the current job I have I'm making almost $10/hr. Now you can disregard this since your original post is so ignorant and you obviously don't believe that some people can change. Now I'm not saying that my case happens to every kid who goes through a serious drug problem, I know many people that have died to addictions and never found their way back, but I also know many kids who have gotten through their addiction, from heroin to crack and from prescription pills to meth. You're the naive one for not thinking people can change. I have been smoking weed for years and after coming back from rehab I have not once touched a pill or done a line of coke. I have not stolen anything, I have my own job I make my own money.

This blunt is for you buddy, maybe you won't be so close minded after hearing my story.

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 7:17pm

congratulations. you did a good thing and this is why im sticking with weed.

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 7:01pm

right. its also those people who give weed smokers a bad name. most people associate marijuana with hard drugs like heroin.

Wed, 10/17/2012 - 3:15am

Nurplette. Can you show me where I said we should judge heroine users? Nice misdirection. What I'm saying is; if you smoke weed, you should feel better ABOUT YOURSELF compared to if you did heroine. Don't judge heroine users. But feel good about the fact that you're not one.

Mon, 10/15/2012 - 11:07pm

So b/c you guys hung out with heroin addicts it means you have a right to judge them?? You're missing the point.. if someone chooses to do heroin. Lie. Steal. Kill their own mother for a baggie.. it is not up to anyone else to say its right or wrong. Right or wrong only applies to self.

How about just showing love and compassion, and having understanding for how ppl end up in the situations that they do.

I just believe everyone has the right to live their own lives without others applying their own morals to it..

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 12:05am

If you kill your mom for bag, I think we can all agree that thats clearly wrong.

Because judging people is a dick move, regardless of the reason. There can be Aryan Nation members who are really nice people, while still being racist. I have friends like that. Can be really nice, just don't fuck with 'em. Should I judge the way they live just because they're racist and get in fist-fights and street brawls, while I sit back and play games and watch t.v.? Not at all. That's my point. Sorry for rant.

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 3:54am

Why shouldn't we judge someone on first impression? Is that not how one discovers who a person has the potential to be? To differentiate good from the bad, if we don't judge someone based on our initial experience of them then would you not just be leaving yourself vulnerable? I'm not saying look down on someone for it, but everyone judgest dude, its the way it is, if you say you don't you're a liar, people judge every one based on what they wear, what they say, how they say it, how they walk, everything. Now thats not to say I am looking down on that person for it. I consider myself a damn good judge of character, heroine addict for example, I'm going to assume you are a desperate idiot, and am I wrong to make that assumption? Now thats not to say Im looking down on them or belittling them, I dont know why they do that or what reality they are trying to escape so I don't pretend to. Point is man, its ok to judge someone, just not to look down on them based on your initial asessment.

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 4:12pm

ha everyone judges people at there first impression its human nature...if you say you dont your lieing to yourself....judging something is a good thing, it can save your life or make your life better, the problem is if you can never change that opinion. Grow on your experiences, even if your judgment is wrong nothing wrong in realizing your conclusion was false, it can be healthy in my humble opinion, everyone gets so butthurt if they are wrong that they will lie and defend themselves even though they know there wrong

Thu, 10/18/2012 - 3:58pm

Why SHOULD we judge someone on first impression? B/c that is the cycle that we created for ourselves... Why do we have to judge at all? Why is it sooo hard to accept that nothing has to be good or bad as a collective whole. When I meet someone for the first time, I do not judge them. I just let them exist and be whoever they want to be. When we allow for others to just be, it helps us just be.

I'm sorry, but not everyone judges. Some of us can be mindful of what is happening around us. So we don't need to judge..

Saying someone is a desperate idiot and then saying that you're not looking down on them. You MUST be trolling me???

Idk. My opinions are different and I don't expect people to agree w/ me, but thats my point. WHY do we have to feel like someone else has to agree w/ what we say or it must be wrong. If it is right for you, then it is right for you.

We all create our own stories. It really isn't anyone's place to decide what is right or wrong for that story unless they are the person writing it. Don't try to write other peoples stories for them, b/c you can't possibly have enough background information to be able to accurately write it. Because everything you know of someone else is just a story YOU create of THEIR life.

Mon, 10/22/2012 - 3:05pm

Noname....I dont think you realize the definition of Judge...."To form an opinion or estimation of after careful consideration".....If a girl I have never met, is drunk acting a fool trying to bone anything that moves and im think to myself man shes a desperate idiot, That is passing judgment on someone(by the way when i said human nature before its been reasonably concluded that every living creature on this planet judges what there not sure about) I wrong? Now what i think is the problem with this if said Girl walks to me and talks to me and i realize shes just had her dad die, now shes still being desperate and an idiot but with a reason, and my judgement of that person has shifted, Human being get into trouble with this when they can not adapt there initial judgments to the new Input you have...I think most people want to make people out in there heads so they can make sense of there own life

Mon, 10/22/2012 - 3:42pm

@Noname You missing my point is all dude, if you're saying you don't judge people, you are a liar. Everyone does.

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 4:55pm
MDMP Says:

Your missing the point... She lives in a small town, therefore she is prone to have thoughts like that, for it is much easier for a village with a small population to believe that 'only hookers do coke'' than a big whole city.

And don't be drug racist, you're a druggie either way, your no better than the rest of the drug users, and you've got to be conscious about it and make peace with it, or you'll be living an illusion.

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 7:25pm

the only problem i have with this story is hes stereotypical. dont you hate how people judge you for being a "pot head"? well most hookers do what they do to support themselves and/or their kids. not saying some dont have addictions just dont be stereotypical. but i would never want to associate with a heroin addict.

Jimi Hendrix never touched heroin, infact he was terrified of it because one of his ex-girlfriends became an addict. He was more into the acid scene like Jim Morrison, or Syd Barret. Hendix would soak his headband in LSD before each show so it would soak into his pours through out the show, and soemtimes if he wanted to get a better high he'd add little cuts in his forehead to absorbe faster. Also Jim Morrison from the Doors wasn't a heroin addict either, his girlfriend Pam was and he hated that about her, they would often get into very violent fights about it, because he was very against that drug, he did infact die of a heroin overdose because Pam had a pile of powder on the table, in an attempt to avoid another fight she told him a lie that would end his life, she told him in was coke, which he did enjoy. Now you can take a far more amount of coke at once then you can heroin, so in thinking it was coke he snorted it and OD'd. However, you are right, Kurt Cobain and Layne Staley were heroin addicts. Severe heroin addicts.

I was smoking a bowl in my room watching the show, not really the game cause fuck sports, when I saw mad lights outside and I went to investigate. He was the police chiefs son... Fuck my small town.

....don't do heroin. Heroin is bad mmmkay

Mon, 10/15/2012 - 11:23pm

I guess this is why most towns have a 'heroin problem'

but no town has a stoner problem.

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 1:57am

Just because you talk about weed doesn't make it a highdea....

Here's a question: If you could do a drug like heroin or meth ONCE and be 100% guaranteed that you wouldn't get addicted or habituated to the drug in any way whatsoever, would you?

And on another level, are their casual meth users? Like the way there are professional stoners? Do people exist who have regular white collar jobs and just smoke a tiny bit if meth each week?

But for real kiddies, don't do meth. Ever.

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 4:16pm

Ive Tried many many drugs just for the experience....Most things ive tried and from my personal experience, Meth was extremely addicting, Seriously one time Ive taken it i wanted to keep taking it and not in a way that i had a fun night....Like with most other substances ive tried....So yeah Meth is sketchy

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 7:10pm

i for shure would. but only in a safe environment with sober or weed high people. just no needles.

He said naw its kewl man if you don't want it that's alright. Then he pulled some out and glass fucken tube like he was gonna smoke it right there. Needless to say we physically heaved his ass out the door. We watched him walk down the street as he walked he pulled out his phone and said naw man they aren't cool they didn't want any and they wouldn't let me smoke it there either. Doooo not bring that drano, ephedra, scrubbing bubble bullshit around me. I mean jeez how low can you go.

Tue, 10/16/2012 - 8:41pm
