Think of it this way, pigs in a slaughterhouse, they get free food and shelter, they don't know whats coming next, but they don't care. With T.V. and Facebook and all those things this still stands. If you're not paying for something then you're not the customer, you're the product being sold.

We are KINDA like the product, seeing as Facebook makes billions of dollars off letting companies make us see there advertising efforts. So Facebook is letting them buy our business that the advertising would revenu. But zucker put in all the work so what do any of you deserve? You should look at it as a way of involuntarily learning about things you might have interest in because it is personalised

regardless if he's tommy chong or not, he has good highdeas and is a cool guy.
He currently has 6 popular highdeas on the main page. Most of us don't even have one. I'm not saying that they're bad, but I feel as though other good highdeas may be overshadowed by the mighty ThomasChong. And that is a good point, everything he types becomes popular. We all have at least one really good highdea that never got any attention, but not this guy. Again, no hard feelings, I'm just wondering why certain members receive a celebrity-type status over others.
EDIT: Never mind and fuck that, you have 10-20 "Anonymous" upvotes on almost all your highdeas dude. I don't know how it happens, I just know that it doesn't happen to anyone else. Stop schemin' man.

As for Facebook by not paying for it doesnt make you the customer, it makes you the owner, and therefore the owners of facebook, the advertisement companies are the pigs looking for you to give them something they want. They want you to feed them like the pigs at the slaughter

Television is free because its brainwashing you. Turn off your television(tells lies to your vision), reading is fundamental(fun to mental). The tube is telling you how to live your life, its called television programming, because it is programming your mind turning us into robots. Telling you what to buy and what to think. Rupert Murdoch owns fox NEWS, alone with 127 other channels. He is going to only give you the information that he wants you to hear and see. Its all propaganda folks
this sounds like the beginning of a facebook conspiracy... facebook is getting all our information and things we like and learning our personalities and eventually they will sell that to someone else who can use it against us. who will they sell it to and what will they do is the question.

Corperations fund websites and in return advertise on them. The funny is, is that people don't give two flying fucks about the stupid ads that saturate the Internet.

I don't get it, you don't pay for t.v. and internet? or are you talking about advertising? or how we work our whole lives in order to pay to live? its more like walking on a treadmill that powers a machine to pump our blood through our system. but then again we kind of work to support all of the fun random things us humans have created for ourselves. While the pig is being kept alive to be slaughtered for its final product, I dont think its fair to compare that to facebook and t.v. I need a more elaborate explanation from you.
Why are people always coming up with theories about our existance and/or society as a whole? Am I the only person out there who notices all of the beautiful things that we as human beings can accomplish? Even if we are a part of some grandeous scheme, who really cares? That's just what todays society is. Plain and simple. No matter what, life goes on, man. Don't cheat yourself out of the possibility of having a spectacular one.

were all hooked on media. its makes things easier. people watch shows and movies to escape there own lives and in turn want to live what they see. everything is for our own benefit but at the same time making us carbon copy dependents. the internet is the whole world at your finger tips and for some people that is the difference of living and waiting to die. people are getting more and more lazy looking for the next best thing to make our lives easier. anyone with a bright mind can make money off media. and why not? seems like were not doing any work at all but millions of people are making a handful millionaires.
