There would still be grocery stores but they would be spelled "gross-ery stores" and little families of fruits and vegetables would roll around to pick their humans or other animals off the shelves.

Now I'm thinking, wouldn't there be one dominant fruit or vegetable more intelligent and civilized than the rest, just like how humans are the dominant species? The question is, which would the dominant fruit or vegetable be? Which is most likely to evolve above and superior to the rest? Pineapples perhaps, or a durian; durians are pretty evil, I could see them eating me.

So these durians would have certain fruits and vegetables to choose from at their "gross-ery stores," they wouldn't be purely carnivorous. Just like how we have certain types of meats to choose from at our regular grocery stores.

Instead of misting the produce on the shelves, there would be misters aimed at the shopping fruit or vegetables and there would be misters aimed at the shelved humans keeping us pleasantly sedated.

This dominant species of fruit or vegetables wouldn't have faces, they would communicate telepathically and feed by contact-absorption. They don't need to go shopping often since we are so much bigger than them we feed them for a while.

Dude, whoa. Will you share your stash with me? Because that's the trippiest shit I'm yet to read on here.

bakayurei Says:

we put a lot of our predators in cages and we buy and sell them, eat some of them.. i guess we don't really have any predators except at particular times.. if vegetables were our predators then they wouldn't be vegetables, but people eat dogs and lions and alligators and other things that should be eating us so a zoo or pet shop's a little bit like what you're describing

With the idea of the multiverse in mind, anything and everything is possible. Infinite parallel universes and alternate realities would exist.
