How did anyone even come up with this phrase?
"Oh man, I love smokin' a joint of mary jane!" *puff puff*
"Yeah man, weed is this coolest!" *pufffff*
"If bees had knees, man.. weed would be as cool as them." *cough cough*
"It's the bee's knees, mannnn."

Also, where did "the bomb" come from? Like saying something is the bomb to say it's awesome. By the way, I like the tags :)
Hahaha, I immediately thought of Pineapple Express: "Why can't we be out in the open? Why aren't we in a square right now? Why aren't we talking to people, letting them know Item 9 exists? Get it out! Shout off the rooftops: This is great! This is the bee's knees, Item 9!"
Naw bro, its the Wasps ankles.. POSSIBLY the yellow jackets thighs..
hahahaahah weed is totally as cool as bees hypothetical knees
perty sure the phrase came from the word 'business'
then some drugged out hippy pronounced it terribly and used it in a sentence strangely, and it stuck
shit idk but i dig it...check the name lol
Also, "that's none of your bee's wax" is a far stretched metamorphasis derived from business B i Z - N i S ---- > B ee Z - N ee S Also, I like this one because it actually can mean it's not for your ears. Doubly satisfying. I don't use any of these phrases because I can create on the spot phrases or other great phrases to express my feelings. I just can't imagine using this toward youre friends. Well, that turned out to be extremely long.
The 'Bee's knees' refers to the yellow orbs on the legs of most bees. These small orbs are where the bee stores the pollen and nectar it collects while flying around from flower to flower. They are located in the middle of the bees legs (where the knees would be on a human.) The orbs consist of purely 'sweet' nectar and pollen. And so whenever something is cool or sweet, if you will, it is referred to as the bee's knees. Look closely at a bee next time you see it buzzing around a flower. You will witness the bees knees in action.
