It's never to late to explore the Earth. There is so much we have not discovered about the Earth. And we where not born to early to explore the universe, us humans just suck and decided religious practices outweigh scientific advances and fucked ourselves. If not for the political power that religion had and has, we could be heading into the Cosmos and discovering we are not the only lifeforms.

we know about the surface and where most of the humans live but there are still many uncontacted tribes that could teach us a lot about culture and language and psychology and religion, there are countless undiscovered species on the planet, and the deepest parts of the ocean have only recently become accessible and there's loads for us to find down there.. also even if the broad strokes have been put down someone still has to fill in the fine details, discovery never ends, you'll always find some crook or nanny to look in

Sun, 06/07/2015 - 10:37pm

This is the truth here.We know very, very little about our oceans. We actually know more about space than our own bodies of water... Ther is still more to explore here.

See that's what I'm talking about!

So, I'm super stoned but I think this is when all of the GOOD thoughts start flowing.

So, everyone was taught in school since middle school that pi is 3.14159..... and it goes on forever, right? Well, if the very basis of much mathematics is just a rough estimate, considering it's endless, well that's pretty weird right?
All of modern science is based on math, even in its simplest form, and a lot of numbers in math for certain things are estimates, so all of today's thinking is based on an estimate.

I say this because technically everything is made up of atoms, which are made of subatomic particles, which are made of things that scientists call quarks, which are made of etc....

Scientists don't realistically know of anything smaller than protons, neutrons, and electrons. There is an infinite possibility of what is there, they say. So why are they so adamant that time travel isn't real, or astrology, or united consciousness?

They couldn't possibly deny there could be infinite universes that small. because they know nothing about that. In those infinite numbers of universes, somewhere, pigs CAN fly, gas prices are 99 cents in 2015, the Flintstones existed, everything happened or didn't happen.

Think about it, this site has generated thousands of ideas and can generate an infinite possibilities. My idea is as insignificant as we are as a species in the universe, but it can influence an infinite amount of people. It can influence no people. ANYTHING IS A POSSIBILITY.

You should read about dark energy and dark matter.

I always come back to the concept of infinity- what does infinity REALLY represent? In my mind, a lot more than just a bunch of numbers on a number line, especially when those numbers correspond with the reality I experience. Still just wandering.

the only that sucks is people who want to genuinely explore in hopes of discovering new things, such as animals or cures, are unable to because of money but once exploration shows signs of wealth, the rich move in only in hopes of exploitation

I agree to some extent and yeah that's fucking something
But hey look what just the U.S. Itself did with the advances of medicine, weapons, vehicles in WW2
Not only that but during the Cold War the aerospace tech exploded because we were racing the Russians
Good or bad because all of these advances dint come without any loss of human life at the same time each individual country did all this by them selfs because of a motive, a very strong motive in which the people and the government agree that needs to be done , we haven't t as a race been challenged to unite as a whole species to accomplish something that will have to be done to save the planet
I think that the only were ever going to accomplish real space travel either a planetary disruption that no longer lets life
Continue, an alien race that wants earths resources, or the very unlike one is that a genuine space program funded a number of countries for the sole benefit of life
All we need is a motive to fund a massive space program it can be done I mean technology can only go foward what's stopping us?

Man I looked at that and it hit me really hard. I remember telling my sister why I acted like I wasnt enjoying life as much as my friends and I told her it was because i was born too early to see the future. To see the galaxies and explore the rest of he cosmos and then seeing this now its kind of smacked it into me and its just....this shit sucks man..

The majority of Earths oceans are unexplored....

Sat, 06/13/2015 - 12:05am

Well letting someone else explore and tell you about their experience and give you pictures isn't the same thing as you exploring it. That's just exploring the Internet. Go and travel. It's amazing to think just like how no two people are identical, every place you go will be different than the place before it. By the time you get back to the original start point even that will be different through time. The exploration stops only when you become content with where you are and allow others to take the glory of exploration and discovery.

It is ok. Most of the people who lived in the past when the globe wasn't fully explored didn't get to explore it because they could not afford it because of so many needs and problems of life. You'd also have to have money and status to get on a ship or caravan, plus you'd have to be more educated in languages and survival. If you were to be born in the distant future when space is explored more actively, you'd still most likely be one of majority of people who would never get any chance to explore earth due to how expensive it will still be, and the insane amount of education and training you'd need.

In conclusion, you still can explore a lot of modern world if you have enough education and skills. Stay in school and don't skip class. You'll either make enough money to travel where you want, or needed skills so people will pay you to explore stuff.

This makes me so sad. Literally my thought process happy day when I wake up. I just want to explore the world but that's so difficult when so much of his looks bored. But like it'll be a few decades before anyone is able to just travel to outer space like they were just traveling to Hawaii. I want that in my life but it will never be in my life time so I'll talk to up why are we even here?

Yeah, but how many people have explored the ocean? there's plenty here on earth that hasn't been discovered. there's still remote areas on this planet that no humans have touched. Really, if you think about it, all you have to do to explore the universe is look up. Our planet is constantly moving through the universe it's the biggest space shuttle we have, we just follow a certain trajectory that we can't control.
