I went over to a friends house one day and was playing 2K11 with him.
He told me about how realistic the game was and everything and how they update the stats and everything IN GAME.
That got me to thinking..
What if they just made 1 NBA game ever century and just always keep the game updated?
If someone got drafted into a different team, they could just update it so it's like they got drafted in the game too.
That way you don't have to keep buying 2K12/13/14/15 and so on.
Saves money, and that shit would just be awesome.
It's not like we're going to be playing NBA 2101 or some shit. You know?
Cause I don't know about you, but we have the technology to make this happen, the best NBA 2K game ever,
it wouldn't be HD, it would be RD, for real definition.
It would feel like you were watching live NBA.
Shit, ESPN needs to stop gimping us of our money! Greedy companies!

EA doesn't make 2K, 2K is the name of the game company :)

$$$$$$ Supply and Demand...would be better for the consumers but that will never happen

Agreed. We would love that but they would have to set up a subscription thing to have the game. People will always buy the new game so why would they?

They could just charge to update the game with plays and new skill games and stuff like that like once a month or once a year and save themselves money because they won't have to reproduce all the packaging and the discs and such, but they could still get money off of the updates. They could potentially even make more $$$ that way. It would be a complicated system to set up, sure, but once they figured it out, it would be genius.

They update gameplays and effects when they remake the games tho. I know NHL games usually come out drastically different each time. I mean shit now they have fighting goalies (which they used to have and took away) and you can put people into the bench and thru glass (which they also used to have.) Yet those kinds of changes bring the ppl in.

Haha thanks man!
Glad I could throw out some ideas that would revolutionize gaming, or at least the idea for a new way of gaming.

They totally could make this happen, but they do not whant the best product to the costumer, they only want only one thing, money.

they don't do that because then they wouldn't make anymore money unless you had to pay for the updates

I heard it costs developers around 40 grand to release on update, if that was true it would become too costy for the developers to release an update everytime a player switched teams, at least that's my opinion

All about money dude, like someone above me said...it'd be great for us consumers, but it'd kill the producers. Same thing goes with a lot of products. Always remember that as much as they'd like to have you think so, producers rarely have your best interests in mind.
