well darkness isn't something, like you said, it's only a word for the absence of light. light is actually a real thing, a form of energy. but darkness is just the absence of that particular energy

There can't be an absence of darkness. What is the absence of nothing? There's a reason you can't divide by zero, there's nothing there.

Light? Tf were you thinking? A semi existing parallel unIverse collides with our own because natural balance has been lost or something? I think light makes more sense

Well if you want to really think outside the box, darkness is technically not the absence of light, but instead an abscence of what we can see as light. For example, a room can be lit up with infared lights, but this is not in the humans spectrum and they would not detect this, yet other cameras, other species, ect ... can detect this light. Hence the abscence of darkness is presence of light we can see appearing. Everything is a part of your perception, and the words we use to describe it merley pertain to us as humans. As does the concepts of time, space ect...

Darkness is literally nothing. There is no possible way to have an absence of nothing when there is already an absence of something.

Darkness isn't a thing. You can't have darkness. Darkness is simply the absence of light. Nothing more. It literally is nothing. You can't physically have a quantifiable amount of darkness and with that being said, you can't take any of the "darkness" away.

If you take light away ABSOLUTELY, then take darkness away ABSOLUTELY, you are left with one simple thing. THE VOID. a dimension never mentioned twixt light and dark. an absence of everything that is not physical matter. a dead zone of no energy but hot and cold.
