everything around us is infinitely small but also infinitely big.....universes, galaxies, and so on....IT KEEPS GETTING BIGGER.....but then theres the cell, and the atom and the molecule....IT KEEPS GETTING SMALLER...think about that. It is almost like there are no limits

Wise Guy Comment: PLANK LENGTH LIMIT.
... damn quantum physics...

ALSO: due to the structure of General Relativity, there is also a Maximum SIze Limit that an aggregate structure can take.

... gonna go smoke more weed now :p

This is true but quantum physics is only the study of physics. Underneath every layer and level of nature exists a unified field which is non materiel, non local, omni pervasive threshold of infinity.

The scale of depth is infinite, we can always divide into the scale of perception. just like numbers are infinite, 1 increasing into infinity, -1 decreasing into infinity. Take 1 inch, divide it into .5 inches, divide it i to .25 inches etc you can have a number like .000000003637 inches and continue this for ever, the scale of perception can increase and decrease infinitely.

I_AM_not_I Says:

I believe what you are talking about is the Number Scale. The Number Scale is, indeed, infinite as well as infinitely dividable.
BUT IT IS NOT A PHYSICAL THING.
Physical Space-time has LIMITS. When you try to Divide the Planck Limit, instead of "going infinitely smaller" the Space-time splits into TWO spaces, each of which measures the Planck Limit.
In other words, YES there is a SMALLEST measurement in the Universe! =)

SPIRITUAL Reality is, in all likelyhood, Truly Infinite. But remember --> the Spirit has nothing to do with Space & Time other than it can play with them and play IN them.
PHYSICAL Reality is not Infinite. It is limited. It is supposed to be limited. Because it is Matter and not Spirit.
Spirit needs Space and Time to be Limited, just as Matter needs the Spirit to be Infinite --- they form a Loving relationship and interplay with one another. And that "play" forms our Existence and everything in it.

(there is way more to all of this, of course, but I hope I have given you something cool to think about :p Love on, brother!)

Could universe not be contained within quarks? Ya we have laws of physics and shit but you need to consider that these things only apply to the small tiny amount of universe we have discovered and searched. The overall sample space is not nearly enough to be statistically accurate proof I will always think lotterally anything is possible. Could there be a universe that has nothing that could be labeled a force?? I read an article today on a cosmologist that believes there was nothing before the big bang. Someone who knows about this type of shit should message me discuss quantum mechanics with a layman.

Technically there is a limit it just gets infinitesimally closer and closer to that limit without actually reaching it. EX: the Limit is 0, because 0 represents literally nothing and everything gets close to it like .01, .001, .00001, and it keeps going on .0000000000000000000000000000001
My math teacher used to explain, "The door way is 10 steps away, and you can start by taking 5 steps towards it, then from that point you can only take 2.5 steps, and from that point take only 1.25 steps and so on and so on" You will never reach the door.

1) That was Hermes Trismegistus and NOT the Maya
2) Please don't quote Alchemical Maxims if you have no real EXPERIENCE of what they mean. The Alchemists envisaged Man as a Microcosm (below) -- representative of, and equal to, the Macrocosm (above). The idea of the Great Work is to Unify these two aspects -- the Unity of Man and God, the Unity of Matter and Spirit. THATs what "As above, so below" means. And its fucking awesome =)

Hate to burst your bubble, but there are no tiny people living on a tiny earth orbiting the nucleus of one of the atoms which make up your body. HOWEVER, once you truly begin to Work with the whole "as above, so below" thing, fanciful ideas like this just simply stop having any meaning. And the reason is, you have found Real Meaning within your Self. And this INFINITY of Experience is not one that is Imagined and created with Words and Logic, it is one that is Simply Lived <-- and, [and I cannot stress this enough] these Living Experiences kick the ever-living shit out of our Wildest Imaginations. =)

I will leave you with one more thing: "Know thy Self, O Man! and thou shalt know this Universe and its gods!"
(never stop trying to Understand, never stop Loving ;)

You speak in such absolutes. You know what goes on just as well as everyone else. We all have no idea what actually goes on in the fabric of the universe. You claim theres a spirit or soul. What if I say your soul is a combination of experience memory and chemical reactions that your brain makes. I dont hold my beliefs on anything I always question everything and keep my mind open. I agree enjoy life. Live it up. For you take up a small amount of space for a short time. Everything including time and space are relative you say they cant get smaller but thats because we cant measure any smaller. Yet.i think theres an infinite scale where we may not see a proton with a person on it. But perhaps an up quark with a universe inside. Bubble universes are the shit.

The biggest scale of fractal reality I can think of thus far is the universe being the inside of a black hole. Quote me on this one, I thought that up high as f#ck one year before reading in the papers that physicists think that quantum-gravity explains that there is no actual singularity in black holes but they simply teleport stuff, thus staying clear of the second law of thermodynamics (conservation of energy).

weednstuff Says:

This idea has always made sense to me. I mean I know nothing about theoretical Physics but I don't think the science we have can even touch this stuff so it seems kind of irrelevant.

Just to expand on your theory a little, just look at the mechanics of the universe and all life we know of. We are in a solar system which orbits the sun, in a solar system that orbits a galactic center, in a galaxy that is moving around dark matter in ways we don't really understand.

Then we have atoms, which have electrons that orbit a nucleus that come together to form different completely novel patterns.

Playing off this same idea that size is irrelevant try to think of humanity as a bacteria or even a cancer. We are driven to grow and expand. That's been the trend over our short life that is. I mean if you looked down from a plane and saw our giant cities we'd look like a growth if you considered the earth to be a living thing. All the smoke and CO2 just a symptom of the disease that is mankind. We're just another biological entity trying to grow and expand. We don't know what individual bacteria lives are like or the nature of individual cancer cells. Maybe we're killing the planet? But I mean what's one planet in the grand scheme of things?

Kind of disjointed....hope it makes a little sense at least.

I came to the same revelation the first time I tried acid. Everything boiled down to a different combination of zeros and ones that could be simple or infinite. I figure it was only a little over 100 years ago that particles were even discovered, so how can you really say how small things get since scientists and theorists are just going off of what they're able to test and see and the equipment to do so is getting better and better

well technically is goes molecule and then atom haha. but then there is quarks with leptons, bosons, and the higgs particle and yadada. it is actually quite fascinating and makes a great video while stoned if any of you freaking love science like I. The higgs boson was actually discovered for sure last year as one of the biggest scientific discoveries of the year. The particle was only a theory for like 40 years and now it has been proven ! crazy stuff.

I doubt anyone will read this but heres my theory that has parts shared with some cosmologists.

Bubble universes contain everything within our universe. I believe there is a point of origin in the center of this bubble where the big bang is believed to occur. What if when matter or energy reached the bubbles wall it automatically is sent back to the origin? Could black holes send us to other universe origins? Anyway, imagine universes that flow away from the origin such as our own. What if some flow toward the origin instead? This could cause positive or negative charges within each universe. Now imagine that these bubble universes is within a subatomic particle? That subatomic particle belongs to an atome in a molecule in another larger universe. Could we be inside a universe entirely made up of parallel universes to ours? They say theres a limit to how small something can get but how is that possible? Units of measure are relative. I believe we are in one giant fucking paradox.
