My reasoning for global warming may be wrong, but makes total sense to me!
Ok think of how much heat we generate, between 6+ billion people, our body's, cars engines, houses, fires, any trucks or boats for transportation.
Imagine if all these things were "on" in like 1 state,guaranteed it would be quite warm there, nownits spread out but we have only seen a few degrees change in overall temp I Beleive.
Now I'm not saying pollution isent fucked n fuxkin shit up but come on we generate alot of heat!

"but we have only seen a few degrees change in overall temp I Beleive."

We've seen an incredibly rapid increase in temperature that is extremely fast compared to natural increases. The data collected shows that the temperature increases are human caused and that anthropogenic global warming is happening.

Data can be manipulated. Earth has always had a cyclical mean temperature. Humans generate less than 1% of total carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (0.28%)
In the 1970s there was a global cooling scare where global temperatures have been dropping.
I don't believe in global warming, just a bunch of paranoid ass scientists

@Philosobong
Data is something that can be double checked by independent researchers. Data is objective. The only way to "manipulate" data is to do so by outright fraud by fudging the numbers, and whenever a scientist has attempted that, he/she's gotten caught and had his/her ass handed to him/her by the scientific community. Also, most scientific papers in the 70's predicted global warming.

"I don't believe in global warming, just a bunch of paranoid ass scientists"

Well, I'm glad to see such a well reasoned refutation of science. I'm glad to see that your conclusion that global warming is wrong comes from logic and that you didn't use any ad hominem attacks.

/sarcasm

Even if climate scientists were paranoid, what the fuck does that have to do with the data that they collected? What the fuck does that have to do with whether or not their theories accurately describe the world?

What are we gonna ban and/or tax things like boiling water now because "its making the planet warmer"? (hint hint carbon taxes are stupid) This warming of the Earth is part of its natural cycle. its not the first time this has happened and its definitely not caused by cars or cow farts. Its caused by the Sun which has been been outputting a lot more energy than seen before in its own cycles. This "climate change" is occurring all throughout our solar system, for example the storms that are erupting on saturn and jupiter. Also I'm not saying that our footprint haven't had any affect on the climate change, I'm just saying we are not the main culprits. Yes we have been destroying our planet with deforestation, dumping non biodegradable materials and toxic wastes in ecosystems, and setting off nuclear bombs on top of many other things, but i really don't think that "global warming" is the reason for all our climate troubles

@TalhaK3

I already posted a link here refuting the "natural cycle" myth that climate change deniers like to use.

Natural cycle or not i still do not believe this is all because of CO2 because the phenomena is not occurring only on the earth. Check out the links i posted.

the earth has experienced these very same temperature fluctuations before, and naturally at that. during certain eras (Paleozoic, metazoic) our atmosphere was filled with carbon from volcanos and such, the ice age served as a cooling period for the planet. There isn't too much we can do to disrupt these natural cycles.

Fri, 07/29/2011 - 7:21pm

I don't deny natural temperature fluctuations. They exist, and temperature increases are the result of some cause, which is something that can be investigated. The evidence shows that the recent temperature increase is caused by humans, and not some naturally occurring cycle, which would occur way slower than the rate of temperature increase that we've been seeing. The idea that we can't disrupt natural cycles of the earth is something that's been debunked:
http://www.skepticalscience.com/global-warming-natural-cycle.htm

Humans have made a large impact on global climate, whether or not you like it.

Earth isn't the only planet heating up, other planets in our solar system are as well.

GLOBAL WARMING IS BULLSHIT TO MAKE YOU PANIC AND GET PARANOID ABOUT 2012. lol

Look it up!

Tue, 12/06/2011 - 1:28am

Yeah, it just doesn't seem like much to the average person because 'fast' natural occurrences take tens of thousands of years, minimum. The temperature is increasing by 'x' decimal percentages each year, but that's fucking fast by universal standards.
Sorry, this reply may have made no sense, I thought I was going strong, and then I second guessed myself so I don't really know what I am saying right now.

Yeah im not going to get scientific but you're a little slow if you dont believe in global warming, every little thing adds up....and look how fucking hot it is. i seen something on the news saying that the united states broke over like 900 heat records in a month. i could be wrong idk im just saying come on guys lets not destroy the earth,she gives us weed.

whether or not climate change is happening, our actions should be the same.
we should minimize our carbon footprint in every way possible, and shift towards maintainable means of energy consumption, food production, and waste.
who really cares if the planet is warming? we should do our best to take care of it either way.
anything less is just lazy, selfish, and unappreciative of the beautiful planet that GAVE US ALL LIFE.
whether or not humans are aliens, every particle in our body is sustained by the elements of this planet.
we and our ancestors have called earth home for millions of years, and have become masters of our domain, why not use our knowledge and technology to sustain and give back to this life giving mother earth?
