So the other day I was havin a toke sesh with some of my neighbors, and we began to wonder what space smells like!! Have you ever wondered that? Because I never did until then, it's a pretty fuckin random thing to wonder about if you ask me. But it's interesting, and I'm naturally very curious, so I looked it up.

Obviously we can't just jump out into space and suck in a big whiff of space. You can try, but you'll die. Space is a vacuum guys, you can't do that. But according to astronauts, once they come back inside from a space walk everybody can smell the stench of space. They say it smells like a mixture of diesel fuel, burnt steak, and hot metal.

You wanna know why space smells like that? Do ya? Well I guess I'll tell you!! Up there in space floats a shit ton of molecules called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These molecules are found all over the universe. There are high levels of these molecules in meat that is cooked at high temperatures, in some other foods, comets, meteors, etc. It's also found when fuel is burned. What's weird is these molecules are considered a pollutant by the general science community, though they are found in foods. Whatever man, steak is too good to fret over these smelly molecules, don't worry guys. I think that's pretty much all I have to say about them. I'm super fuckin high lol Here's a link to the article!!
