Music libraries are a personal achievement. They're like memories of your entire life.
So I don't understand how some people say they got all their music off of their friends computer. Or that they have 16,000 songs. First of all you don't listen to all that music and you probably have no connection to any of that crap.
I only have about 700 songs. But I've accumulated this list from scratch over the last 4 years and I have a special connection to every single song. I'll have this music collection for my entire life and it'll just keep growing.
P.s. Sad truth is, this will never be popular because of its length, yet I know thousands of you would agree.

i have thousands of songs. but that because i don't just get the song i like by an artist. i get everything that artist has done.
and i do agree. a few of my friends have gotten music from me and i doubt they listen to most of it.
yeah dude, whenever I want one song off an album i just download the whole album. It's just as easy and you get way more songs from an artist you love
Yeah I totally get what you're saying. I have tendency to download a bunch of stuff from an artist if I love one of their songs.
I'm all for sharing my music. Makes me feel even better when I hear someone listening to a good song I gave them. Its like giving a really great present
you should make a last.fm

I love last.fm :D Though I go through long periods of forgetting to use it.
I'm adding you too ! Yey :)
Totally agree. I hate listening to people brag about "how many songs are on their ipod". Because that's not the point at all.
hey, I have such a crazy music selection. And most of its underground Miley Cirrus, how will you argue against THAT
i also dont see how they think it makes them seem cool
i dont have an ipod so i have to get it direct from CDs and i have a tape player i like tapes better than CDs they dont scratch
Holy shit! This is exactly how I treat my iTunes library! I have such a huge connection with my albums
I have thousands of songs in my library, and I've listened to every single one of them. I collect music like some people collect stamps or star wars figurines. But I always collect stuff that I actually plan to listen to. If I get a new album, I immediately burn to cd and keep it on repeat in my car stereo till I've cycled through the album at least three times.
I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE staring at my stack of CDs. It just gives you more appreciation of the music.
music doesnt have to be a emotional connection to anything. it can be a very powerful connection to something, but it can also be something to just chill with
I like to think of my music library as the soundtrack to my life. each song fits or has fit different situations and experiences throughout my life
great call my brotha, I only have like two thousand but thats over like 6 years and I love each and every one
every single one of my 15139 songs has been listened to at least 5 times i make sure of it even excessive amounts of music need love
I have 11,000 songs and there's maybe only 100 I haven't heard/liked. I download all of an artist, get high as shit, listen to it all, and then delete what I don't like. It's really not that difficult to know or enjoy that many songs, especially when I listen to music almost all day every day.
my heart melted a little for your future wife when i read your tag
i have a 16gig ipod and its full of music that i listen to all the time. i make everything on there is good cuz i keep adding stuff i know i like and to make room i get rid of stuff that i dont really like. its an ongoing system forever improving my music collection.
