In Response to Ability to Eat Grass

Cows are able to eat grass because they have two stomachs to digest all the fiber in grass. We unfortunately only have one :( .. So i was thinking, if we collect the digestive enzymes from both stomachs of a cow - make manmade copies and put it into pill form, maybe we too would be able to break down grass like cows and horses.

And if we don't have the specific proteins to work with the enzymes like cows, we could make copies of the proteins in the cow stomach too. This however would need to be a second pill so they dont start reacting until they're in your stomach

They've done that to cow's in reverse. They load them with medication so that their stomachs can tolerate corn.

The reason we cant eat grass is because our stomachs cannot digest the silica in grass. not to mention grass has little nutritional value, but yeah we should be able to eat it too, I mean shit we can eat sharks, why not grass too

hey man actually its not digestive enzymes that break down grass (or the cellulose in grass), its actually the bacteria in the cows' stomachs. but if we put those bacteria in our stomachs, the acids in our stomach will either destroy them or the more virulent strains would harm us. by the time we come up with the microbiotechnology that would enable us to eat grass, weed would be legal, so yeah lol
