Today, I realized that Mario is definitely homeless. He wakes up every day wearing the same clothes, runs around in sewers, beats up people for their money, and what does he spend it on? Mushrooms.

I'd do it except for the sewers and beating up people bit. There's plenty of coins scattered about in blocks and such above ground. I'd probably save up a tidy sum and get a nice house on Yoshi's Island. If Peach gets kidnapped again... she can fend for herself.
